Why our Lifetime Pet insurance?

Lifetime Pet Insurance is the most comprehensive cover type. It covers accidents and injuries, as well as long-term illnesses or conditions developed whilst your pet's cover is live. Treatment and medication for these illnesses will be covered year after year, as long as you continue to renew your policy.

There is no limit on the number of different conditions that can be claimed for, as long as the condition is not pre-existing. Your cover limits refresh each year you renew.

Third party liability

Our policies include up to €250,000 in cover should your dog cause injury to another person or their pet, or damage to their property

Petinsurance.ie policies include cover for dental accidents and illnesses as standard, up to your selected vet fee limit

Behavioural treatment

If a Vet recommends professional help with your pet's mental or emotional wellbeing, we'll cover this up to your chosen vet fee limit.

Complementary therapy

Access to a range of treatments and therapies to aid your pet's recovery. We'll cover up to your chosen vet fee limit when a vet recommends treatments such as hydrotherapy, acupuncture and more.

Emergency boarding

When an emergency arises, you get up to €1,500 towards kennel, cattery or pet minding costs.

We offer three different types of Pet Insurance, allowing you to choose the cover that suits your needs and budget.

Time Limited

Time Limited Pet Insurance covers your pet for a specific illness or injury for a set period, usually up to 12 months from when the condition first starts. After this period, or once the financial limit is reached (whichever comes first), the condition will no longer be covered. At Petinsurance.ie you can choose three vet fee levels. to find out more.

Maximum Benefit

Maximum Benefit policies provide a fixed amount of money for each illness or injury your pet might have. There is no time limit on how long you can claim for the condition, you can continue to claim until the maximum amount is reached. Lifetime

Lifetime Pet Insurance offers the most comprehensive cover. It will help you pay for your pet’s ongoing illnesses or injuries throughout their life, as long as you renew the policy each year. The vet fee limit resets annually, meaning you can claim for long-term or recurring conditions year after year, giving you and your pet long-term peace of mind. There is no upper age limit for insuring your pet with us. We can insure puppies and kittens from eight weeks of age.
We don’t provide cover for any pre-existing conditions. You’re unable to claim for any illnesses that first occurred or showed symptoms within the first 14 days, or any accidents or injuries which occurred within the first 2 days of the cover start date of your policy.
